This native Londoner started DJ-ing while still at school and had his first professional gig at JEAN PIERES, Greek Street in London’s Soho in 1979.
His first resident night was established with his brother Mel at one of London’s leading premiere gay nights THE LIFT from 1981 to 1986. While working at THE LIFT KCC was introduced to the joys of House Music.
When THE LIFT ended Keith KCC secured a residency at London’s infamous and cutting edge Wag Club alongside Mark Moore from S-Express. KCC also started spinning on some of London’s Pirate Radio Station’s and met up with Kid Batchelor & Lesley Lawrence and formed the ironic group, BANG THE PARTY, around the Christmas 1986, releasing two singles, Jacques Theme & Release Your Body before leaving in the middle of album to form SLF producing one of United Kingdom’s first Acid House records, Show Me Wot You Got.
KCC was equally very busy on the warehouse party scene at the time playing at all the Transatlantic warehouse parties alongside people like Robert Owens (of Tears Fame FFRR Records) Harvey, Andrew Weatherhall, Mr C (The Shamen) Colin Favour and more.
KCC secured yet another residency at London’s Melange Club, alongside LTJ Bukem, that ran for almost 3 years, as well as DJ-ing and producing moor quality music KCC started working as a sound engineer/ programmer and worked with the likes of Shut Up And Dance, Femi Kuti, Rose Windross (Soul II Soul), DJ Hype, Double Trouble, Derrick May and many others.
Keith KCC has gone on to remix tracks for the likes of Whitney Houston, Sounds of Blackness, Ann Nesby and Marshall Jefferson’s Rock Your Body. Boris Dulugosh, Kenny Thomas, Catch-a-Groove, Known Chic - I Love New York. Forever busy on the DJ front, Keith has been touring Europe continuously for the past 15 years playing at some of Europe’s premiere clubs.
In 1992 Keith Produced two tracks for Azuli records “Groove Thing” and Heaven. “KCC’s Heaven.
Keith KCC and with his brother Mel started their own club KCC Club simultaneously holding down residencies at London’s Fierce Child with Smokin' Joe, Danny Rampling, Princess Julia.
Onwards and upwards, Keith KCC started doing England’s club circuit playing at venues such as The Ministry of Sound.
In 1991 Keith formed the KCC Sound System at the world famous Notting Hill Carnival.
The Carnival is where Keith KCC Soundsystem and the Rockin' Crew take it to the next phase as witnessed more and more.
His DJ style is spiritual and the vast numbers that attend the site at Worningham Road, Notting Hill are always in the mood to party. It has been said; people arrange to meet each other not next week, but next year at KCC’s!!
The KCC site is an institution, a destination point attracting large crowds as well as international DJ’s from around the world, such as DJ Disciple, Roger Sanchez, Mousse T, Pete Heller, Matt Jam Lamont etc.
In 1995 KCC won the” Best Alternative Sound System” Award and was the Board Representative for the British Association of Sound Systems between November 2001 and April 2002.
Commencing 1997-1998 Keith KCC Joined the Nice & Ripe stable of labels and released a number of E.P.'s
Over the years Keith KCC has done Mix shows for many radio stations including Kiss Fm, Galaxy Fm, Paris FG, Skyrock, Girls FM, Unknown FM and numerous pirate stations.
Currently, Keith KCC appears bi-monthly for the Peppermint Jam label at Turnmills London.
